InternetSudoku.net has recently updated the website to make it more smartphone friendly which will allow people to visit the website and play Sudoku on their smartphones and tablet computers. The game Sudoku is logic based puzzle game that requires players to use their mind and fill the puzzles in a certain way with digits from 1 to 9, InternetSudoku.net explains the game as: “Sudoku is a numbers game, which uses logic instead of mathematical skills. The platform of the game is composed of 9×9 grids with 9 rows, 9 columns, all split up into 3×3 squares called regions. Your objective is to place numbers inside the each empty square with only one number per square. The rules of Sudoku state that every row must contain the numbers 1 through 9. No row may be identical to any other row. The same rule applies to the columns.”

It is believed that Sudoku was created by an architect named Howard Garns and contrary to common misconception the game did not originate in Japan but was first seen in UK and USA. InternetSudoku.net have shared that the American version of this puzzle game was believed to be created and designed by Walter Mackey, one of the Dell Magazine’s puzzles creators. The name of the puzzle “Sudoku” is however in Japanese. InternetSudoku.net informs: “When the Japanese found a game of “Number Place” in Dell Magazine and translated the game into a different form. – Su means number and Doku means single unit. In 1984, Sudoku was introduced in Japan by Nikoli.” Despite the confusion about who created the game, Sudoku has been a popular game since the mid 80’s when it was usually published in various magazines and newspapers. The big digital Sudoku wave was quite a few years ago (2005-2006) and increased interest in playing Sudoku on tablets and mobile devices all over the world can be observed. Websites such as the InternetSudoku.net allow users to play Sudoku using their computer, tablet, or smartphone.
