Men in Blue Hopeful to Shine on India Tour of Zimbabwe; Viewers Keen to See Potential of Young Guns

June 08 16:43 2016

indzimNew Delhi, Wednesday, June 8 – Arrangements at Harare Sports Club in Harare are to be of first-class as the Men in Blue and Zimbabwe will contest in the three One- Day International and T20 matches. After a good show in the T20 World Cup, India are likely to pull off during their tour of Zimbabwe as well. In the T20 games played in Indian Premier League, most of the Indian players performed excellently well and this is why the probability to see improvement in batting, fielding and bowling is high this time too.

The Indian team, which is to be led by wicket keeper – captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in both formats may think of coming back home with a number of wins out of six matches. A lot can be expected from Indian squad which will have KL Rahul, Faiz Fazal, Manish Pandey, Karun Nair, Ambati Rayudu, Rishi Dhawan, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jasprit Bumrah, Barinder Sran, Mandeep Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Jaydev Unadkat and Yuzvendra Chahal. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men in ODI and T20 matches are supposed to enjoy victories.

Individual performances will play important role to shine. Apart from this, eyes can’t be shut to the fact that Zimabwe haven’t been successful to turn as a threat for the opponents. They faced defeat at the hands of rivals in most of the matches that held in the recent past. The squads that played against them some time ago were able to put pressure on them at different time intervals. On the other hand, India did not start well in the T20 World Cup as the New Zealand inflicted a humiliating defeat of 47 runs on them at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. However, the way the home side performed later on is commendable. To rise post witnessing the fall is not as easy as it may seem in the first look to others. It was just dedicated efforts of the entire team that made India, who are considered strong thanks to existence of some talented players, go a  step ahead of other opponents. They sent arch-rivals Pakistan on the back foot at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, winning the match by six wickets.

At a point of time in a match against Bangladesh, it seemed as if the host will lose. But that contest made Indian players grow and learn how mistakes can teach a lot of things. India won against the Tigers by one run and that contest will be remembered by generations to come for Dhoni’s belief in making impossible things possible. And Bangladesh were left with no option but to see the game going away from their grip. They performed well against Australia too, thrashing them by six wickets. Kohli was the man to steal the show. Regardless of being a little bit aggressive in his approach while batting, he led his team in a way that was required. Since he capitalized his talent, the team was able to taste victory.

It was a bit unfortunate that they lost in the second semi-final against West Indies at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai despite putting 192 runs on the scoreboard. It was disappointing for Indian fans to see Dhoni-led side dropping catches and stopping the ball from going into the fences. However, it is the time when excitement of cricket fans is going to be up once again and they are all set to see a lot more cricket in the near future.  Here is to mention that dynamic Indian players will play under the captaincy of Dhoni, who is himself an institute from whom the boys can learn a lot of things like how not to lose the cool in odd situations. There is no doubt that jobs on the shoulders of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeeper-batsman and all-rounders will be huge as they can’t make mistake of considering Zimbabwe weak at all.

Given that the teams got enough time to rest and practice, the host is supposed to make best use of it and mark an impressive entry in the game post arrival on the crease. If truth be told then the pitch conditions in the scheduled matches will give chance to the entire bowling lineup, both spinners and fast bowlers to put best foot forward. Hopes are indeed up from India who are full of young players, who showcased their potential to change the outcome of the game at a point where winning was not a simple task. A blend of experienced and inexperienced players in both India and Zimbabwe will give audience to cheer and shout in sheer enthusiasm throughout the play.

If India carries on to bowl in the style for what they have gained appreciation, it would be a big threat to the contenders. One point Zimbabwe must be clear about is that putting humongous runs on the scoreboard is going to be extremely difficult. Likelihood of mistakes is high as well from India as most of the players being new in the team. Contribution of significant runs from top & middle orders and tail-enders in the team’s total will be of huge importance. But in case if wickets are lost, it should be understood that newcomers are on the path of learning and trying to lift the pressure up. The upcoming competition is the best opportunity for the batsmen to sharpen their tools prior to contesting different teams in the later stages and gain experience of playing in various conditions.

Hundred percent efforts by the teammates will be a key thing in order to stand out. The biggest strength of the Indian side that has emerged lately is their attack as a unit. It is certainly gonna be awe-inspiring to see which team makes best use of the occasion and which fails to make it a smash hit. To catch the action live, fans will have to wait for a little bit more as India and Zimbabwe gear up for a big show that begins on June 11. It is the great opportunity for the travelers to get better in the contest. India will make attempt to put Zimbabwe under pressure and give no space to them in experiencing the ease while playing shots. Focus of Dhoni-led group will be eager to demonstrate outstanding blitz on the field that’s vital all the time. With just a few days left for the match to begin, excitement is going to be enormous.
