Pakistan Tour of Australia to Catch Viewers’ Eyes

December 07 15:16 2016

pak2New Delhi, Wednesday, December 7 – To play as a unit is usually of huge help for the entire team. This would be something what Pakistan would look for to gain complete grip on their tour of Australia in the coming days. They are to play three Tests and five One Day International matches in the foreign condition. Both runs and timely wickets will be required to make the contest reach into a thrilling phase.

Confidence of the hosts is getting up thanks to their good show in the ongoing tournament against New Zealand. Challenges are going to be up for the tourists. Focus will be on picking right combination of bowlers, batsmen and all-rounders to keep a balance in the team. The squads for Tests of both sides are yet to be announced but are expected to be the best in all possible aspect. Winning the toss is in nobody’s hand but putting best foot forward even when situations aren’t supportive is what one can do.

First Test between Pakistan and Australia will be played at the Gabba in Brisbane from December 15 to December 19. More to the point, second Test will be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne from December 26 to December 30. The final Test will be hosted at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney from January 3 to January 7. Test cricket is the real cricket as the format is different and tests players’ ability to perform in more ways than one.  ODIs will start from January 13 and will come to an end on January 26.

The Gabba in Brisbane, Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, W.A.C.A. Ground in Perth, Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney and Adelaide Oval in Adelaide are the venues that are picked for hosting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th ODIs, respectively. Captaincy of Pakistan and Australian captains will be noticed by the fans, who want nothing more than a victory whenever powerhouses compete. Guiding players in a way that could lead them towards success could be a key for triumph.

This is certain that the upcoming contest between Australia and Pakistan will catch the eyes. Cricket lovers would want to see both sides pouring great inputs to stay a step ahead of each other in all possible manners. Even though a lot may have changed since the inception of T20 format, but Test is enjoyed yet by the majority as scenario carry on changing from time to time. Something witnessed on Day 1 may be totally different on Day 5.

In view of the fact that players are able to score in speed Test formats as well thanks to exposure to limited over games, Test matches serve enormous excitement. Here is to mention that Pakistan were not on a strong side against the Black Caps on their tour of New Zealand that concluded lately. The Kiwis defeated them by eight wickets and 138 runs in 1st and 2nd Tests, respectively.

Pakistan players would not like to repeat mistakes what they did in New Zealand, keeping in mind the talent housed by cricketers of Australian team. Reading mood of the pitch at various locations will be of immense use, giving players slight idea what may or may not work and whether the time is ideal to introduce any change or not. Missing the edge in in Test encounters is not going to work for any part. Staying on track while batting and guiding bowlers to bowl in perfect line & length can compel opponents to make mistake. Pakistan are a team full of the talent and so are Australia. Not only it is the duty of top order, middle order and tail-ender batsmen to take team on a strong side but also of the bowling lineup and fielders.

In view of the fact that Pakistan’s stint in Australia is going to last almost for one and a half month, entertainment quotient will be up. Even though it can’t be said for sure who all will fly for Australia to play in the longest format but Misbah-ul-Haq is supposed to lead his boys in a way that could let them start the tournament with a win. Chances are high to see good show from Azhar Ali, Sami Aslam, Sharjeel Khan, Asad Shafiq, Younis Khan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali, Sohail Khan, Imran Khan Sr and Sarfaraz Ahmed if given chance to perform.

A few heroics can keep Pakistan on the right track right from the start till the end. Being on the victorious side in the last part is important but dedication will be required to outperform the rivals. The tourists would like to shrug off pressure, which is always there when a team performs in unfamiliar conditions. But focus will be on not letting the confidence and faith of doing well vanish. No wonder if the players of both Pakistan and Australia give everything possible to register wins in the scheduled matches, which will boost confidence if performance is impressive.

Scoring pattern at various ground of Australia is different. Average first, second, third and fourth inning scores tell a lot. Attention will be on improving the records and go for the highest total to be on the safe side. It will be a chance for both teams to rise and increase possibility of forming a group where each member is keen to contribute from his end. Easily succumbing to pressure is not going to work for any of the Playing XIs. If nail-biting contests are witnessed then level of fun will go at peak.
